FAQ

Hypergate Authenticator enables Kerberos SSO on your mobile device. The user does not have to type in their password anymore and reduces the risk of phishings. Additionally it allows the user to change their password directly on the device, even if the password is expired.

Hypergate Files provides seamless access to shared drive as the user knows it from their workstation. It integrates deeply into the os system to provide the best user experience possible and allows editing in the native applications (i.e. Word) without the need of a clunky inline editor.

As we use the native Kerberos protocol, this log can be found in the active directory password change log.

iOS only includes Kerberos Authentication through constrained delegation. The downside of this approach is that it will only work as long as your account is not flagged as “password expired” or “password change needed”. In this case it will fail without a user friendly message. Therefore Hypergate Authenticator expands iOS with the following features:

  • Reset Expired AD Password
  • Expiry Notification
  • Change AD Password
  • Smart Access
  • Local Authentication

Android: Android 7.0 or higher.

iOS: All iOS 13 or higher devices are supported.

Android: As there are many different Android devices produced, we can not test Hypergate on any existing device. Therefore we guarantee Hypergate to run on all devices which are branded by Google as “Android Enterprise Recommended” as well as on all Samsung Galaxy devices. The full list can be found here. If your Device is not on the list, it most probably still will work, just contact us and we will test it together with you.

iOS: All iOS 13 or higher devices are supported.

If the App uses a Webview during the authentication process, it usually works out of the box. However, there is no general answer to this question, therefore it’s the best to contact us and we will test it together.
